Mars Colony

< Home

As the chemical payload delivery methods have become more effective, the timetable to temporarily relocate the acceptable population to an alternative habitat has been accelerated.  Projections are currently showing that Earth will be uninhabitable for humans by the July 2020 Mars launch window.  Therefore, the target launch window is now the launch window that opens in April of 2018.  All shuttles will have delivered the desired population to the Mars colony by no later than May 7, 2018.

Habitat

The habitat dome to support the Mars colony is nearly completed.  The atmosphere and temperature within the dome has already met the specifications required to support the colony.  Once completed, initial development teams will be dispatched to finish the preparations; including but not limited to initial agricultural projects to sustain the desired population, camouflaging the habitat dome, and assembling the Earth Observation Telescope (EOT).

Desired Population

The desired population is continued to be determined by invitation only.  The members of the Pentaverate and their designees remain the only individuals allowed to designate individuals as a member of the desired population.  Currently, 19,575 of the 25,000 invitations have been issued.
*Special Note: Due to the advanced age of the current Pope, he will soon be stepping aside in order to make way for a younger Pope that will be expected to be healthy enough to make the journey in 2018.
